I was beyond excited when Isis and Skyler invited me to document their Wedding Journey in 2023. This couple isn't just any couple to me; they are incredibly dear to my heart for countless reasons! Our adventure began with a breathtaking Engagement session amidst the stunning backdrop of the Utah Sand Dunes. Celebrating the beautiful seasons of 2023 with them was an honor and a joy.
A Surprise Unveiled
A few months into our journey, I received a text from Isis that hinted at exciting news! My instincts told me it had to be a pregnancy! True to their creative spirits, Isis and Skyler devised a fun way to share this exciting news with their loved ones at their wedding. And let me tell you, the moment was nothing short of magical!
A Day of Love and Commitment
Their Wedding Celebration on October 14, 2023, at Camp Williams Military Base in Salt Lake City, Utah, was a day to remember. The love and camaraderie in the air were palpable, making every moment a picturesque one (as you can see)! However, life has its twists and turns, and just a week before their special day, I received an urgent call no one ever wishes to receive. My mother was being admitted to the hospital for her advanced-stage cancer, a battle she had been courageously fighting since 2022. With a heavy heart, I rushed home, knowing that her time was limited.
Empathy in Times of Sorrow
In the midst of my own turmoil, I reached out to Isis, explaining the situation and reassuring them that I was doing everything possible to ensure their wedding would proceed smoothly and stress-free. The understanding and support they offered during this heart-wrenching time were immeasurable and so appreciated! Thankfully, my friends Lyndi and Rob from Sugarrush Photography stepped in to beautifully capture Isis and Skyler's wedding day, ensuring that the couple's special moments were immortalized with love and professionalism. Gratitude and Looking Forward

We've shared a year filled with significant life events, and I am eager to see where 2024 will take them, especially as they welcome their new baby girl into the world!
