When Friends Become Clients, and Your Husband Becomes the BEST Wingman of the Year

An Intimate Catholic Wedding Celebration in Park City, Utah

Some weddings hit you right in the heart. This one? From the first look to the dance floor, it was full of deep connection, a quiet and powerful ceremony, and so much love from family and friends.

I’ve known Cora and Chandler for years. Long story short, Chandler (the groom) worked with my husband building ski lifts here in Utah. Back in 2017, my now-husband J was living with Chandler and working those long ski lift days when he proposed to me. Fast forward, and I had the honor of photographing Chandler’s wedding. Mind. Blown.

But it gets better. Cora and Chandler asked my husband to second shoot their wedding. He was terrified, but he showed up, and he absolutely crushed it. Watching him behind the lens with me was surreal and honestly one of the most special parts of the day.

A Love You Can Feel

While I don’t know every detail of how they met, what I do know is this: Cora and Chandler’s love is the kind that radiates. Cora is a total powerhouse. She is kind, grounded, stylish, and knows exactly what she wants. Chandler is what I’d lovingly call the golden retriever groom. He is warm, genuine, curious, and fully present. The way he listens, connects, and loves Cora is so evident in every look they shared.

Their wedding weekend felt like a true getaway. Friends and family traveled from all over to be there. They turned their wedding into an experience, staying at the Hyatt located at Canyons Village in Park City. It had destination elopement energy, while still keeping their most important people close.

And yes, can we talk about their eyes for a second? You’ll see what I mean in the gallery.

Wedding Day Highlights

The Ceremony:
Held at the stunning St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Park City, Utah, the ceremony was heartfelt and sacred, but refreshingly non-traditional. There was no full mass, but the setting still honored their faith in a deeply meaningful way. With towering ceilings and panoramic views of the Utah mountains, this location brings old-world architecture into a modern mountain setting. McPolin Barn is right nearby, making this area perfect for portraits and variety.

The Portraits:
I wanted these two to look at their bridal portraits and think, “DANG!” Not only because we made church interiors look like editorial backdrops, but because everyone deserves to feel like they stepped out of a magazine on their wedding day. Candid moments are everything, but your getting ready time, ceremony, and quiet vows also deserve to be documented with intention. Bridals are not optional — they are everything.

The Party:
I live for a packed dance floor, and Cora and Chandler did not disappoint. The reception was full of laughter, energy, and all the flash-filled moments that scream celebration. There’s something about letting loose with your people that brings the best memories to life. Whether it’s an intimate dinner or a full-blown rager, I’ll be there to capture it all.

The Location Vibes:
St. Mary’s is visually stunning. From its massive windows to the soft mountain light, it’s a venue that naturally feels cinematic. As a Utah native, I will forever be biased, but Park City is one of those places that delivers year-round beauty. It’s no wonder it was chosen for the 2002 Winter Olympics. If you're considering a wedding in the mountains, don't overlook Park City, Midway, or Heber for that magical blend of class, nature, and soul.

A Word About My Second Shooter

When Cora and Chandler asked if my husband could be my second shooter, I didn’t realize how much it would add to the day. Watching him connect with the guys, joke with the groomsmen, and fully support the flow of the day was truly something special. Not to mention, it was kind of fun to watch him get a taste of what running a wedding day as a photographer actually takes. Proud wife moment, for sure.

Forever Grateful

Cora and Chandler, thank you for letting me step into your world for a day and tell your story. Your love, your people, your energy — just wow!
